Who am I?
I am a daughter, sister, aunt, friend, teacher, lifelong learner, outdoor aficionado, wellness coach, and advocate. I grew up on Long Island (NY) and moved to Florida for warmer winters and a calmer lifestyle. After many years in Jacksonville, I most recently moved to Tampa for even warmer weather.
Throughout my young adult and now (gasp) middle aged years, I became increasingly aware of other people’s perception of singles. Why does the media consistently make marriage and relationships seem so appealing and singlehood so utterly unappetizing? While most of us want to find that sometimes very elusive other half, being single should not make anyone feel insufficient or too short for the proverbial ride of life.
As someone who gravitates toward bettering the lives of others, I created this website with one most important goal in mind: to help all singles realize just one fact. It is okay to be single. Being single can be just as wonderful as being married, sometimes even better. It is up to you!
